Skye the shepherd had a super fun photo session last week, after a record-setting two rescheduled shoot dates because of rare rain in San Diego! Skye is about two years old and was rescued from Cleveland Alchemy Acres after her mom fell in love with her on Petfinder. She and her humans moved here from New York last year and are enjoying the year-round outdoor fun! Skye has recently enrolled in agility and is doing well, she is very smart! She is a German Shepherd mix whose DNA test revealed great-grandparents of Boxer and Staffie breeds.
We started the shoot at Coronado Tidelands Park, which has a lovely view of palm trees and the Coronado bridge. Skye lives in Poway but her parents take her all over San Diego to have a great time together, she even has a whole backpack devoted to her fun toys and gear. I hear she gets very excited when her parents get the backpack out!
Skye LOVES playing fetch. Currently she loves the frisbee the most, but as you can see here, the ball and buoy are also fun to fetch! I like that all her fetch items are orange as well! Coronado Dog Beach on a winter weekday was a great place to play fetch, with only a few instances of other dogs trying to join the game. Action photos were our number one goal for her session and Skye did very well achieving it!
Skye was very serious about her modeling job at the final location near the Hotel Del Coronado, taking in that beautiful sunset. We were able to capture her mom’s favorite head tilt while we were there as well. Great job ordering a beautiful sky for your photo session, Skye!
Thank you Skye and your humans for having a photo session!
Note: Photo sessions in 2017 are exclusively for people holding gift cards specifically for a “Custom Photo Session”.
